생명 중시의 가치 지향적 학문으로 인간존중을 실천하는 간호학을 선도하는 고려대학교 간호대학은 “교육 구국”이라는 건학 이념을 토대로 한 민족정신과 “자유, 정의, 진리”를 추구하는 기상이 살아있는 학교입니다.
나아가 지도자적 소양을 갖춘 우수한 간호전문인(Eminent KUCON), 창의적이고 혁신적인 간호전문인(Innovative KUCON), 그리고 인류의 건강증진에 기여하는 간호전문인(Contributive KUCON)을 양성한다는 비전으로 글로벌 시대를 주도해 갈 세계시민의식을 갖춘 인재를 배출하고 있습니다.
개교 이래 80년이 넘는 역사를 함께 채워온 3,900명이 넘는 고려대학교 간호대학 교우들은 주로 국내외 의료기관과 대학 및 연구소에서 중추적인 활동을 해왔으며, 보건의료 관련 기관이나 산업체 혹은 초중고등학교 보건실이나 노인요양시설 등에서도 사명감을 지닌 간호사로, 교육자로, 연구자로 혹은 행정관리자로 소임을 다하고 있습니다.
COVID-19 팬데믹으로 불확실성이 두드러진 시대를 걸어가면서도, 고려대학교 간호대학은 ‘어제는 history, 내일은 mystery, 오늘은 present’라는 관점으로 선물 같은 오늘, 고려대학교 특유의 강한 응집력과 유대감이라는 선한 전통을 새롭게 함께 써가고 있습니다.
급변해가는 미래 사회를 준비하면서도 현재 이 땅에서 인간 돌봄과 배려를 구현하려는 보편적 가치에 대한 우직함으로, 이 시대에 필요한 전문성을 갖춘 따뜻한 심성의 인재들을 키우기 위해 최선을 다하겠습니다. 감사합니다.

Greetings!
The Korea University College of Nursing (KUCON) is a value-oriented academic school where the utmost respect for human life and human dignity is focused and practiced. Built on the founding ideology, “Education saves the country,” we hold to the spirit that pursues "Freedom, Justice, and Truth" in our pursuit of academic excellence.
Furthermore, with the vision of fostering excellent nursing professional leaders (Eminent KUCON) with creative and inventive minds (Innovative KUCON) to willingly contribute to the improvement of human health (Contributive KUCON), we stand confident that our graduates will be ready and equipped to lead and serve as world citizens in our global world.
It has been more than 80 years since our school opened its first doors to nursing students. Since then, more than 3,900 KUCON graduates have filled history by engaging in pivotal work at domestic and foreign medical facilities, universities, and research institutes. Moreover, in public health and industrial medical clinics, school nurse's offices, or nursing homes, every one of our graduates has been doing their best to serve with a sense of mission and calling as a nurse, an educator, a researcher, or an administrative manager.
Even at times marked by the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe strongly that “Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift called the present.” Thus, building on the solidarity unique to Korea University, the KUCON will now continue to move forward; renewed, strong, and together.
Finally, to meet the demands of a rapidly changing society, we fully commit ourselves to equipping each student not only with the highest standards of professionalism but to become a leader of character with an understanding and caring heart. Thank you.
